Seattle, WA

(This is a backdated post)

So, this weekend I went to Seattle - both to watch the Cal-UW football game, and to hang out with friends I have up in Seattle, from high school, college, last summer's work, and current work. My pictures, however, are only of the football game. So, that's what you get to see.

What you get to read about is why it's awesome to live in a big city. The friend I stayed with lives (or did at the time, as he has since moved) in Belltown, a section of Seattle right next to down town where all the night life is. Bars, clubs, etc. This means it's really easy to go out, meet up with people, have some drinks at some bars, and get home without a hitch. Despite my dislike of some big cities for being way too crowded, Seattle would be a fun place to live.

It was fun seeing various people, I'll have to do it again sometime. But, as my Bears won't be up there for another 2 years, I'll just have to go and visit without being able to use football as an excuse. The horror.

Speaking of football, enjoy below...

Berkeley, CA
(backdated post)

Football season has started! (Finally!) Today the Golden Bears of the University of California played host to the Division 1-AA Hornets of Sacramento State Univeristy (aka CSU Sacramento). Final score says we blew them out, but it was closer than it should've been. With Nate Longshore sustaining a season-ending injury, Joe Ayoob's 0/10 performance was not too exciting. Third stringer Steve Levy (a FB last year) finished off the game, 2/7, but the ground attack led us to victory.
